(Remember it starts mid-March, 2012)

I want The Artist's Play room to be a creative and sharing place where we all feel comfortable showing our work, whether finished or a work in progress. I also want it to be a place where we all can support each other and chat, encouraging participants to be all they can be.

Here's a question. Are you an artist? Can you say it out loud, for all the world to hear? I've had trouble with claiming "artist" status in the past, but when I embraced all that it meant, I found it so freeing to be what I was from the inside out. I've been an artist since the moment I could pick up a pencil, I just didn't say it out loud. I want to encourage you to SAY IT OUT LOUD by joining me in my "Artist's Play Room" every Saturday. You don't have to be great, just create! My definition of an artist is:
"An artist is one who creates with JOY."
Here's the dictionary definition of "Artist":

    1. art·ist/ˈärtist/

      1. A person who produces paintings or drawings as a profession or hobby.
      2. A person who practices any of the various creative arts, such as a sculptor, novelist, poet, or filmmaker.
      3. A person whose creative work shows sensitivity and imagination.
      4. One, such as a painter, sculptor or writer, who is able, by virtue of imagination and talent, to create works of aesthetic value, especially in the fine arts.
