Artist's Play Room #29

This week was really exciting to watch in The Artist's Play Room. The theme being "You Choose" really allowed everyone to be creative and do whatever tickled their fancy. This gave us a plethora of wonderfully different and creative art, I'll have to do this theme again in the new year, I can see that everyone liked the freedom of it. Anyway, let me show you just how totally creative you all have been this week, as we move into a new season. (Oh, and welcome to all the newbies who have emailed me in the past few weeks to introduce themselves. It's so nice to hear from you all!!

Terri has done a piece of
art about her new idea
called "the Way-word girls".
She wants to inspire young
girls. Great idea Terri!
Bonnie has made a
journal page encouraging
us to enjoy our life. Great
idea!
Stefanie has drawn a falling
star that she wants to wish
upon. She's wants to
remember to dream.
Welcome Stefanie!
Arnoldo has done a religious
journal page with a Biblical
quote for this week's APR.
Thanks for participating.
I am so in your corner, Mo,
starting to do Christmas
cards now it so smart!! Then
you're not overwhelmed. You
can also use the stove's burner
to emboss, don't get too close!
Parul has done these stunning
three dimensional face masks.
They are so tribal and organic.
Great job and welcome!
Catharina has done a totally
stunning sunset painting for
her son who is moving out.
What a beautiful present!
I'm loving this painting by
Andrea. We have a koi pond
outside the apartment and I
now have the privilege of
feeding them on the weekend.
Rita has rendered us a beautiful
double layout journal entry,
with flowers and color riotous
all over the pretty page!
Trace, I'm loving this piece
as I'm not totally challenging
you to a game of, well, you
choose!! Backgammon, Yahtzee,
Gin or fast scrabble, hehehe.
Alice has done some stunning
pieces using watercolor and
salt technique, very cool!
I can't wait to try this.
Darla has drawn one half
of a face from a magazine
cutting. What a terrific
technique idea and great way
to sharpen your skills.
Beautifully done Darla.
Linda has rendered a really
stunning piece on the view
of the shore where she likes
to go and visit. Love it.
Gloria painted a sunset she saw
earlier this summer. I find this
truly stunning. Maybe some day
I'll be this good.
Minn earlier did a stunning
painting of this invisible
woman. I was thrilled to
hear she was painting her
again. So, beautiful!
Currie has used one of her
photos and photoshop to
create this sweet sentimental
piece of artwork.
Victoria has used photoshop as
Currie did above, isn't amazing
the things that can be done
with digital manipulation?
It stymies me.
Alice has been very
creative this week so
she sent in a second
link, gorgeous!
Sandee has created
this 3D dress with a
great saying, I love
the dimensional
aspect of this.
Mary has started using a small moleskine and
she leaves it in her kitchen just in case she's inspired.
She drew her kitchen, really innovative!

This week's theme is "BOTANICAL". This theme was done selfishly, lol. I really wanted to start drawing in my moleskine so this is a perfect way to get me to finally put a mark in it!! Please feel free to interpret this theme any way your heart desires, no need to actually do the study of a plant. Here are some fun ideas...

  4. Hi Jenn!!
Thanks so much for this prompt!! I had completely, well, almost completely forgotten about my Desert Botanical Garden + Dale Chihuly Experience in March 2009. I'm Now loaded with great photographs to experiment with on Photoshop Elements 8.

  6. Hey Jenn. Thanks for your sweetness! I love what you are doing here -- You are expanding and helping others. Featuring The Way-Word Girls here; things are moving along -- getting together with some Home School Moms who might be interested in them and have voice over actor lined up. Exciting. Hope we can always support each other; that is what it is about. Looking forward to participating tomorrow -- I'm supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. -- Best to you. Terri

  7. Hi Jenn, I was running out to catch a train to Chicago to meet a friend and see her exhibit and also go to a few other galleries. Is botanical any plant! As I say on my blog, I was thinking of your previous post asking for the view out our window and had started this then. So I just got in under the wire again.
