In the last few days I've been back to my sketchbook. I'm getting closer and closer to being finished. Gosh, that'll be nice! I can stop worrying about finishing, get it bound and SHIP IT OFF!! I think I only have two full paintings to do and maybe 3 or 4 smaller drawings/sketches/zentangles (depending on what I decide) to then finally have all the pages filled in. I contribute to a sketchbook community blog as I complete pages and it seems many people are having trouble being motivated to finish or even getting started. Although, some are like me, almost finished. Yay. Here's the link to the little community... Doodleheads if you care to take a gander at what others are up to.
I decided to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. I've been struggling to decide how to finish the Hosta drawing I did last month. I couldn't decide between Holbein watercolors, watercolor pencils and copic markers to color the leave with. So, I thought I'd pick a tool, watercolor pencils, and go for it for the sketchbook. I redrew the hosta plant on a smaller piece of watercolor paper and went to town with the pencils. This is the result.
